SBO1 was running through the spring 2007 and lasted for approximately 4 months. The activities were:
1. Presenting the registration forms by the students [Deadline: November 22];
2. IQ Test [The selection of 200 semifinalists];
3. Attending business seminars;
4. Testing the knowledge, received during the seminars [20 finalists identified];
5. Final State [B-STRAT – a Strategic Business Game will be arranged during December 4-15, 06];
2081 students from more than 45 universities registered for the SBO2. Registrations were free. Around 1700 students wrote the IQ tests and around 239 of them were selected to attend business seminars. The final 20 selection test identified final 20 finalists from 9 Universities, that plaid B-STRAT and engaged into the real case presentation phase.
Terms of participation
All the students of the Bachelor and Master programs of any University of the world could take part in the SBO1 through individual registration.
All registrants had to be the students at the moment of registration.
Winners and Prizes
Mr. Irakli Shanava, the student of the International Black Sea University won the SBO1. His prize was – 2 week training program in Great Britain.
20 best students got the certificates. Other prizes were GEL 600, books and financial calculators.
The award ceremony was arranged on Dec 15, 2006.
